RESOURCES
Extended Team
We consider the following individuals and groups to be part of the honorary extended team of Natural Rights Operations, both past and present. We are grateful for their work to advance the Natural Rights of individual human beings and, along with that, the prosperity and well-being of all of humanity.
Remember - all human beings are imperfect. As such, in extending our appreciation, we do not focus on any faults or shortcomings of these individuals or groups (perceived or otherwise), but rather on our discernment of the incremental and overall impacts of their principles, efforts, and results.
We also do not necessarily agree with their points of view on everything, but that is the beautiful thing about freedom of speech combined with open and constructive dialogue!
Nonetheless, these honorary extended team members help to educate us, inspire us, and give us hope for the future. Most importantly, we believe that they have helped to make the world a better place for all human beings.
Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants
We must first thank and honor those individuals who came before us in the development and advancement of the concept of Natural Rights, as they have inspired and enabled all of our efforts of the present time.
With that in mind, the following is a (by no means exhaustive) list of historical figures that we appreciate, spanning from the classical era to modern times.
We encourage everyone to keep these individuals in mind when considering and researching topics in Natural Rights, Western philosophy, the Enlightenment, individualism, individual liberty, classical liberalism, democracy, and free-market capitalism.
Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Nicolaus Copernicus, Francis Bacon, Algernon Sidney, John Locke, Montesquieu, Voltaire, Adam Smith, Benjamin Franklin, George Mason, George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Paine, Cesare Beccaria, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Marquis de Lafayette, William Wilberforce, Thomas Clarkson, Jean-Baptiste Say, Sojourner Truth, Frédéric Bastiat, Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman, Susan B. Anthony, Ludwig von Mises, Friedrich Hayek, Ayn Rand, Milton Friedman, Walter Williams
Our nomination for the most badass historical proponent for Natural Rights: Harriet Tubman
